Case Study: Intercity Place

Intercity Place renovation works began in 2019 to develop a new home for the University of Plymouth Healthcare School. The 11-story building provides an unrivalled location where undergraduate and postgraduate students from a variety of disciplines learn together under one roof. Sovereign were instructed to complete the security & fire alarm life safety systems by Totus Engineering, installing 6 different systems, totalling to a contract worth £240K.

Kier construction were awarded the project at a total value of £33 million, Intercity Place is now managed by Network Rail, who will lease the building to the University for 150 years.
