The St Monica Trust runs retirement villages in Bristol and North Somerset offering a range of assisted living accommodation, nursing and dementia care homes. Their facilities include restaurants and salons in addition to living quarters.
Sovereign have been maintaining all Fire Alarm systems and CCTV across the Trust’s four sites since 2009. Fire safety is critical given the duty of care to residents, some of whom are not mobile. CCTV can therefore prove useful in these circumstances, not only for security reasons but also from a health and safety perspective. We are always mindful when maintaining the systems of minimising disruption to the Trust and its residents, some of whom are vulnerable.

Paul Gould estates director at the St Monica Trust explains:
“Sovereign is aware of our environment and act accordingly. They monitor and maintain the fire alarm systems with as little interruption as possible. We have developed a good working relationship. We can pick up the phone to them if we think there is a problem, which sometimes can be resolved there and then without an engineer attending.
“They always answer our calls promptly and the engineers are always well presented. As an organisation they are very accommodating and really understand our needs.”
