Fire and Security Business Development Manager
Recruitment: Business Development Manager – South West England Region (North Devon & Somerset including Wiltshire & Dorset borders
Job Summary
Reporting to the Head of Construction Sales, the Business Development Manager will be a mixed sales role.
The BDM will identify and develop key strategic relationships and achieve sales targets. They will also grow profitability streams for direct works, maintenance, and project work within their allocated region, where the Sovereign Fire & Security portfolio can be utilised.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Target and develop the sales of integrated life safety and security systems
- Target the growth of new maintenance contacts
- Develop direct end user opportunities
- Quote generation & tender submissions
- Build long term relationships with maintenance & direct works customers
- Undertake fire & security surveys & attend customer/client site meetings
- Obtain new business in line with overall company strategy ensuring the Sovereign Fire & Security portfolio is maximised
Skills & Experience preferred
- Extensive experience in a Technical Manager role.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with fire alarm systems (e.g., Gent, Advanced, Hochiki).
- Proficiency in Access Control systems.
- Solid experience with CCTV systems (e.g., Avigilon and similar platforms).
- Strong IT skills, particularly in networking, infrastructure, and system operations.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships
- Full driving license required and willing to travel throughout the region
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to drive sales growth
