Recruitment: Business Administration Apprentice – Operations

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Business Administration Apprentice provides operational & admin support to the Engineering Team & Projects Team Assistant. The role is varied & includes general admin duties i.e- setting up clients onto our customer database, compliance admin & assisting with HR Admin including training & recruitment.

What you will do in your working day

  • Assisting with administration within the Engineering team including tracking paperwork.
  • Compiling monitoring pack for sites.
  • Compilation and distribution of Operations & Maintenance manuals.
  • Sub-Contractor packages, including contract T&Cs.
  • Assisting with monitoring warranty call outs/issues including labor allocation & providing monthly reports to management team relating to cost.
  • Assisting with Compliance administration to suit the business needs.
  • Assisting with setting up new construction & small works clients onto our customer database.
  • HR support including recruitment administration.
  • Training administration, including keeping the training matrix up to date, booking courses and accommodation.
  • Holiday cover for Procurement Assistant.
  • Any other duties reasonably requested to gain skills needed as part of the Business Administration apprenticeship scheme.

The training you will be getting

The apprenticeship training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and monthly virtual masterclasses with Yeovil College. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Business Administration Level 3 standard. On completion the apprentice will receive Business Administration level 3 qualification. Functional Skills in Maths and English may also be required depending on current level.

You MUST be prepared to commit to your work and training for the duration of the apprenticeship. In some cases, you may be required to have a telephone interview with Yeovil College prior to your application being passed on.
